So finally, photos of something I've made. This is a Simplicity pattern: I raised the neckline slightly because it's pretty low, and I left the sleeves ungathered because I thought they were nice that way.

It's a nice shape, although I should have lowered the bust line by half an inch. The material is a batik print cotton remnant and is so pretty. If I make it again I might also lengthen it by an inch or so: it's fine with the pencil skirt I'm wearing in the picture, but a bit short with jeans.
